Who we are

The Dee Why School for Seniors was established 50 years ago as a community outreach initiative by the Dee Why Uniting Church, aimed at addressing loneliness among seniors in the local area. Today, it continues to operate as a volunteer-led educational program hosted at St David’s Uniting Church, located at 3 St David’s Avenue, Dee Why.

The school offers an extensive range of courses and activities, including:

Tai Chi (all levels)

Arts and Crafts

Music

History

Dee Why School for Seniors provides a warm and inclusive space where older members of the community can form new friendships, learn new skills, and enjoy a sense of belonging.

Varity Of Lessons

The Dee Why School for Seniors offers a variety of lessons, ensuring there’s something for everyone, from Tai Chi and languages to arts, crafts, and music.

How to

Enrol

ENROL through front door only. The cost is $50 per calendar year. This enables you to take part in any of the activities, provided there are vacancies. You can join in as much of the program as you wish. This is payable at the beginning of Term 1 or on joining.

Fees must be paid for insurance cover.

Enrolments can be made at the Hall before class commencement on the first two weeks of each term.

You are able to participate in any of the activities in the programme providing there are vacancies.
